Lesson Attendance Policy

To ensure consistent scheduling for all students and instructors, the following policies apply to all Shoreview School of Music memberships.

Student Cancellations

Lessons canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time are eligible for one make-up lesson credit.
Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are not eligible for a make-up lesson, credit, or refund.
Missed lessons ("no-shows") are not eligible for a make-up lesson, credit, or refund.

If an instructor is unable to teach a scheduled lesson, Shoreview School of Music will make every effort to provide a qualified substitute instructor.
If a substitute instructor is available, the lesson will be held as scheduled.
If a substitute instructor is not available, the student will receive a make-up lesson credit.
Make-up lesson credits issued due to instructor cancellations are subject to the same scheduling and expiration policies outlined below.

Make-up lesson credits must be used within 60 days of being issued.
Make-up lessons are scheduled based on instructor availability.
Unused make-up lesson credits expire after 60 days and have no cash value.
Make-up lesson credits cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred to another student, or applied toward membership fees.

Lessons are provided through a monthly membership. Tuition is billed monthly and is averaged over the course of the year, regardless of the number of lessons in any particular month.
Membership fees are billed in advance on the 1st day of each month for that month's lessons.
Membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

To cancel your membership, the school must receive written notice at least 7 days before the next monthly billing date.
Cancellation requests received fewer than 7 days before the next billing date will take effect the following month, and the upcoming month's tuition will still be charged.
Students remain responsible for all scheduled lessons during any prepaid membership period.

Shoreview School of Music reserves the right to adjust membership tuition or fees. Any changes will apply to future billing periods.
