Part-Time Studio Coordinator

Shoreview School of Music | Shoreview, MN
$18 per hour | Part-Time | 10–15 hours per week

Shoreview School of Music is looking for a friendly, organized, and outgoing Studio Coordinator to help create a welcoming experience for our students and families.

This is a great part-time opportunity for a high school or college student with a love of music and experience participating in band, ensembles, or other musical groups. You do not need to be a music teacher or professional musician, but an appreciation for music and comfort working around children and families is important.

Schedule

  • Approximately 10–15 hours per week

  • Evening and Saturday availability required

  • Flexible scheduling based on availability

  • The school is open Monday through Saturday

  • Expected to cover the front desk approximately 1–2 days per week

What You'll Do

As our Studio Coordinator, you will be the friendly face of Shoreview School of Music and help keep daily operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Welcome students and families to the school

  • Answer phones, texts, and emails

  • Help families find available lesson times and schedule trial lessons

  • Follow up with prospective students and parents by phone

  • Call leads and help convert inquiries into scheduled trial lessons

  • Assist customers with retail purchases

  • Operate the retail point-of-sale system

  • Help keep the lobby, retail area, and studio clean and organized

  • Assist with general front desk and administrative tasks

  • Communicate professionally and confidently with parents and families

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is:

  • Outgoing, friendly, and comfortable talking with people

  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented

  • Comfortable making phone calls to parents and prospective customers

  • Good with children and families

  • Reliable and responsible

  • Comfortable using technology, including a cell phone, texting, scheduling software, My Music Staff, and a retail point-of-sale system

  • Able to stand for extended periods during shifts

  • Interested in music and the arts

  • Able to successfully complete a required background check

Experience participating in school band, musical ensembles, or other music activities is a plus, but playing an instrument is not required.
